School Programs

Growing Wonders is a living garden enrichment program that invites young children into a slow, meaningful relationship with the natural world. Through regular time in the garden, children tend soil, plant seeds, care for growing plants, build simple protections, observe change, and eventually harvest what they have helped bring to life. This ongoing work allows children to experience the quiet magic of growth over time — learning that patience, care, and collaboration truly matter.

Each session unfolds gently and responsively. Children gather in the garden, check in with what’s growing, and engage in seasonal, hands-on work — watering, planting, observing, building, harvesting, or creating — guided by the needs of the garden and the curiosity of the children. Time is made for conversation, wonder, movement, and reflection, allowing learning to emerge naturally through doing.

Rooted in a child-led, curiosity-driven approach, Growing Wonders honors natural rhythms and values process over product. The garden becomes both classroom and teacher, offering rich opportunities for literacy, math, science, social-emotional growth, and creative expression — all woven together through purposeful, meaningful work.

Sessions can be offered weekly or biweekly and are flexibly tailored to each school’s schedule, space, and community needs. More than a garden program, Growing Wonders nurtures confidence, empathy, and a deep sense of belonging — helping children discover that their care helps life grow. 🌱
